We have many amazing and interesting things happening in the ministry here in Newark, and some big changes that I will be sharing next week in another update. In the meantime, here are a few needs we are praying God will help meet this week so we can continue to move forward and grow.

Lake Champion Trip. Every year we go to a Young Life Camp called Lake Champion. It is an awesome time for youth to get away from city life, enjoy the mountains and go deep with Jesus. We have 35 of us going and are still a bit short on funding. We did a fund raiser yard sale this past saturday and raised $571 so we are thankful for that. The kids worked so hard and did a great job. Tons of people from the community were blessed and came out to support us. The trip is this coming up weekend. Between parents who paid, and other gifts we only have about $400 left to raise. Please click here to help send a teen on this trip.

New Website need – We are almost done with a new website that will be user friendly and easy to update by our staff. It will also allow our donors to connect with kids they sponsor and help keep people more in the loop. It will also allow all of our staff to have their own online giving page to help them raise their support and communicate with their supporters. We are hoping to have it up this May. We still need $1000 for this final stretch. Having this site complete would save us 100’s of hours in admin duties and also allow our donors to be more involved and help others get more involved in supporting this mission.
